Sausage is a food I have always enjoyed. However, in the past few years, I stopped eating it when I realized that every single brand of sausage I found in the grocery contained MSG, or some ingredient that was basically MSG in disguise. Now I’ve found a brand of sausage that doesn’t contain MSG, and is also gluten-free. The brand is “Chef Bruce Aidells.” Kroger carries several different varieties of dinner sausage in this brand; you can see all of the varieties on the Chef Bruce Aidells website. It is some of the most delicious sausage I’ve ever had, and it’s great for a quick but tasty dinner.

This evening, I paired Chef Bruce Aidells Italian Style sausage with sauteed organic mushrooms and onions, and an organic spring mix salad with organic baby carrots and flax seed. It was a great meal, didn’t take long at all to prepare, and was fairly guilt-free in terms of the health factor.

So, if you’re looking for something quick, gluten-free, MSG-free, and delicious, you might want to try out one of the many varieties of Chef Bruce Aidells dinner sausage. It’s more expensive than the mainstream brands, but it’s worth it to know there’s no MSG or hidden sources of gluten. Trust me– it’s a worthwhile splurge to make.
